Goverlytics API
Using our API is easy. We built it from the ground up, following the same Representational State Transfer (REST) design principles familiar to web developers and newsrooms. That means the political analytics returned by our API can be easily ingested by your existing content generators and graphics engines. Flip the page, and your sportscast becomes a polcast.

Create a Goverlytics API account
To create an account, navigate to the Goverlytics API and click the 'Register' button at the top right. Fill out the form with your email and password and click 'Sign Up'.
Verify your email
You will receive a verification code in your email. Enter your verification code here and click 'Confirm account'.
Access your API key
Click on 'My Dashboard' on top right corner once you are logged in. You will be taken to a new screen with your API key. Copy this key or write it down. Click on 'API' on the top left once you have copied your key.
Subscribe and authorize
Click on the 'Subscribe' button towards the top of the page,then click on the 'Authorize' button towards right side of the page to bring up a pop-up.
Authorize your key
Click the 'Logout' button on the screen that pops up. Then enter your API key in the 'Value' field and click the 'Authorize' button once you are done copying your key.
Use Goverlytics API
Goverlytics API provides a user-friendly interface to test the API. You can also use the API in your own application. To do so, you will need to use the API key provided.

To test an endpoint, navigate to the endpoint you want to test and click on it to expand. Click on the 'Try it out' button on the right side.

Enter any desired parameters and click on the 'Execute' button.
Use Goverlytics API in your application
Copy the API key and use it in your application. The Header Parameters are required for all endpoints. The API key is the value of the x-api-key parameter in headers.
